History

The company Tyll was founded in 1992. The original idea was to response to lack of spare parts for newly imported cars to the Czechoslovakia after 1989. In 1995, it came to the major expansion of the production of exhausts for the Škoda Favorit and gradually for all Škoda cars.

In 2000, a distribution and assembly centre was opened in Prague. Due to increasing production the new production-administrative area with an annual production capacity of 350 000 pcs (2000) and a new logistic complex with a capacity of 20 000 exhausts (2003) were built gradually in the centre of municipality Nebovidy.

To make the production more efficient and to improve the production processes – also with respect to the environment – the company has modernized its machinery, launched and started to apply the following standards in their processes: ISO 9001:2009, ISO 14001:2005 a OHSAS 18001:2008.

An integral part by building up of the company was also establishment of a separate toolroom which meets requirements both of exhaust production and external requests. Thanks to the growing demand for products of the company Tyll the construction of a new modern hall with an area of 10,000 m2 was started in 2005.

Because the hall was built with self-help, the company’s activities have been extended also to other areas – there was opened a new locksmith’s workshop that specializes in the production of steel structures. Between 2004 and 2007, a concrete plant and joiner’s workshop were built and gradually extended.

In 2004, the company entered into a strategic co-operation with an Italian company MTS one of Europe’s largest producers of exhausts. The company Tyll becomes a distributor of MTS products for the Czech and Slovak market.

The exhaust systems for the Škoda cars take the significant position in terms of sales and production; and further also some types of exhausts for foreign cars, sports exhausts for export to the EU, special exhausts for industrial machinery and parts of exhaust systems for primary production.
